With just a point separating the top two teams in the Premier League, there was a huge sense of anticipation ahead of kick-off.
And the action didn't disappoint with City making the perfect start as we stormed into an early lead thanks to another big match strike from Kevin De Bruyne.
Liverpool drew level almost immediately through Diogo Jota but City deservedly struck again through Gabriel Jesus to go in ahead at the break.
However, the visitors responded once more as Sadio Mane fired home a minute after the restart.
City saw a second half Raheem Sterling effort ruled out by VAR with substitute Riyad Mahrez striking the post with a free-kick and seeing an injury time chance go over the bar.
But the draw ensured we retain top spot in the table, staying a point clear of the Anfield side with seven league games to go.
